Customer Sentiment:
Overall customer sentiment appears mixed, leaning towards dissatisfaction based on the provided reviews and the average rating of 3.9 out of 5 from 1396 reviews. While some customers express high praise for specific employees and efficient service, a significant portion highlights negative experiences related to pricing, unresolved issues, and poor communication.
Service Quality:
The quality of service appears inconsistent. Positive feedback points to efficient and polite service managers who provide clear explanations and prioritize essential repairs. However, negative reviews indicate issues with resolving initial problems (like tire pressure indicators), lack of follow-up, and a perceived lack of customer care and attention to detail. Concerns about the condition of certified pre-owned vehicles also raise questions about quality control.
Common Themes:
Recurring themes include the high cost of service, particularly labor charges, which some customers find excessive and disproportionate to parts costs. Communication breakdowns are also a significant issue, with customers reporting being ignored, experiencing long wait times for assistance, and receiving inadequate responses to complaints, particularly regarding unresolved issues and the condition of vehicles. Positive mentions frequently highlight the helpfulness and professionalism of specific individuals within the service department.
Final Assessment:
Based on the available data, the business demonstrates areas of strength, particularly in the performance of certain service staff who are commended for their efficiency and customer interaction. However, significant weaknesses exist in pricing transparency, the resolution of technical issues, and overall customer communication and complaint handling. The high volume of reviews and the average rating suggest that while many customers may have satisfactory experiences, a notable segment encounters issues that negatively impact their perception of service quality and value. To consistently deliver high-quality and reliable service, the business needs to address concerns regarding labor costs, improve problem resolution processes, and enhance communication and follow-up with customers.
Here are my thoughts on my recent car service. I own a 2016 Prius that has almost 210,000 kilometres on it. I always take it to the dealership because I love the car. During my last service, I had to have some repairs done to my AC and other wear and tear. To my surprise, the bill came to Dhs9000. I checked the detailed bill and realised that spare parts can be expensive, but the labour charges were 80% of the spare parts cost. This was shocking because I had always believed that Toyota vehicles are easy and affordable to maintain. It’s now more expensive than a Range Rover! I decided that this was my last service at the dealership. I’m sure they’ll lose many customers like me because of the unjustifiable labour charges. Even some of my known people are planning to switch to other car makers. Now they’re happy to see so many cars selling, but most of them are exports to war-affected countries. Normal salaried people in the Gulf are already confident in buying Chinese cars, and these added costs to service will fuel the competition.
I am thoroughly disappointed with the level of service I received at your service center. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that there was no customer care or attention to detail. I came in the morning to address an issue with my vehicle's tire pressure indicator. I was advised to repair the tire, which I did, believing it would resolve the problem. Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told to wait. I have now been waiting for over 40 minutes without any follow-up or communication from any staff member. It is incredibly frustrating to feel ignored and undervalued as a customer. I left my vehicle with the service center, but despite this, no one has provided any resolution or even a response to my concerns. The lack of professionalism, customer awareness, and basic communication is astounding. This experience has been nothing short of infuriating, and I am left with neither a solution nor any clarity on how this matter will be addressed. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and take immediate steps to improve your customer service. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I expect a prompt and thorough response.
i have purchased a certified pre-owned FJ cruiser, and i was surprised during my first service with a report stating that the entire under body of my car was full of corrosion. when i spoke to the service center manager, he told me it is not a big deal to have rust on the under body of the car. i find that absolutely unacceptable, i have sent several e-mails regarding the issue and made several calls only to get the same reply, "we will escalate your complaint, and someone will call you back" and no one ever call back. if anyone wants to buy a certified Rusted car, Al Futtaim Motors is the right place to get it !!!!
Norhan in the maintenance department was absolutely fantastic and incredibly helpful. SHe provided excellent service with professionalism and efficiency, always ready to assist with kindness and dedication. Without a doubt, she is one of the best employees I have encountered. Wishing her all the best!
Well done Sherihan Abdelrahim my service manager at AlbFuttaim! I just had my FJ Cruiser serviced @the 112,000 kilometer mark. Sherihan handled my service last year and again this year- she did an excellent job in terms of efficiency and politeness. Most importantly , she went through the list of services and parts needed as per the inspection and she honestly explained which items were essential and which were not as urgent and could be performed in future. I highly recommend Sherihan and Al Futtaim !
