Customer Sentiment:
Overall customer sentiment appears largely positive, as indicated by the high average rating of 4.5 out of 5 across over 46,000 reviews. Many customers express satisfaction with the store's size, organization, and wide product range, finding it inspiring and catering to diverse needs and budgets. The staff are frequently described as kind, nice, and helpful, contributing to a positive in-store experience. The food offerings, particularly the hot dogs and chicken shawarma, also receive positive mentions for taste and value.
Service Quality:
While the majority of reviews are favorable, a significant area of weakness lies in delivery and installation services. Several negative reviews highlight issues such as late deliveries, missing items, damage to property during installation, and difficulties reaching customer service for resolution. The use of third-party agents for installation is cited as a potential cause for these problems.
Common Themes:
Recurring positive themes include the store's layout and product variety, the helpfulness of the staff, and the value for money offered on many items. Negative themes predominantly revolve around challenges with delivery and installation, customer service responsiveness for post-purchase issues, and concerns about the long-term durability of some furniture items. The store layout is also mentioned as potentially confusing or difficult to navigate for quick visits.
Final Assessment:
Based on the provided reviews and overall rating, the business generally delivers a positive in-store experience with a wide selection of products and helpful staff. However, there are notable inconsistencies in the quality and reliability of delivery and installation services, which significantly impact customer satisfaction for those requiring these services. While the business excels in providing an inspiring shopping environment and value, improvements are needed in post-purchase support and the reliability of third-party service providers to ensure a consistently high-quality and reliable customer experience.
“I stopped by just to quickly buy one item — big mistake. The moment you walk in, it’s like stepping into a trap. No clear signs, no easy exits, nothing. I wanted to leave right away, but the entire place is a giant maze designed to force you through every single corner just to find the exit. It took me over 30 minutes just to get out!
Everything is overpriced and the quality is shockingly cheap. I can’t believe how much time I wasted for nothing.
And honestly, what if there’s an emergency? There’s no clear exit path — it’s actually dangerous. This place is a complete disaster. Never going back again.”
Food at IKEA – Surprisingly better this time! On this visit, I noticed a real improvement in the food. The hot dog, though super simple, was actually really tasty. The chicken shawarma was juicy and saucy — I really enjoyed it! The prices were great, and overall the food was tasty and satisfying. Only downside: the soft serve ice cream wasn’t good at all — it tasted too milky and icy in
I gave 1 star over 5 because because it is the minimum as per goggle, but in reality 0.5/5 is more appropriate.
If I had to sum up my IKEA kitchen experience in two words: KITCHEN HELL or KITCHEN NIGHTMARE. This is definitely the last time I will design and buy a kitchen from IKEA.
If you can afford to have your installation dragged out over several weeks, spend 30% more than your initial budget, and waste your weekends on long phone calls or visits to IKEA customer service, then go ahead and choose an IKEA kitchen. Otherwise, I recommend going with Kaiser; it may appear more expensive initially, but in reality, it will likely be cheaper.
Key issues I encountered:
• Design Flaws: From the start, the design was flawed. It didn’t account for the actual location of the water outlets, forcing me to halt the installation to carry out civil works to reroute them.
• Electrical Issues: The kitchen drawings marked the electrical plugs for the hood and microwave, and my contractor made the modifications accordingly. However, during installation, the IKEA supervisor insisted on moving these plugs because they were positioned incorrectly.
• Order Mistakes: My order was missing two fridges, a dishwasher I didn’t need was added instead, the wrong hinges were ordered, and there were several missing doors, among other issues. During my visit of the IKEA customer service on August 30th, they notified me i had a voucher for the return goods and needed to purchase the missing ones. If i wouldn't showed up at IKEA, nobody would have let me know i needed to purchase the missing delaying the kitchen further.
• Installation Delays: The installation was supposed to be completed in two days. Now, after four days of work spread over two weeks, the kitchen is still not finished. Despite having purchase the missing items on August 30th, as of September 2nd, I'm still without any update as of when they will complete the work.
• Countertop Installation: A week ago, we scheduled a third-party provider for the quartz countertop to take measurements on August 30th. They came on September 2nd and confirmed the appointment after spending 2 hours at IKEA Festival City customer services.
• Communication Failures: The communication within the organization is abysmal, especially between customer service and the installation department. They don’t provide updates, and they don’t return calls.
If you have already ordered a kitchen in IKEA, i wish you good luck ... If you are tempted, ruuuunnnn away immediately!
I really like IKEA its really nice place where we buy all the different type of furniture plants home equipment, kids toys , if u are planning to set your kitchen better to go with the plan really like it.even u get get easy parking their, different types of shops like carrefour , pan home , different types of shops u can see here.
One of the best IKEA stores! Spacious, well-organized, and packed with everything you need for home furnishing. The showroom is inspiring, with beautifully designed spaces that make it easy to visualize furniture in your own home. The quality is excellent for the price, and there are plenty of options to suit different styles and budgets. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with finding items or answering questions. The checkout process is smooth, and the self-service warehouse is well-maintained. And of course, no IKEA visit is complete without a stop at the restaurant—delicious Swedish meatballs and a great view of the Dubai skyline! Definitely a top spot for home shopping in Dubai!
The store is massive, well-organized, and full of inspiration. The product range is wide, catering to all tastes and budgets. Would suggest visiting Ikea on a weekday to avoid the crowd.
Very nice and kind staff , I have been there many times and every time I'm very impressed by the kindness. On top of all that everything is clean and organised. Please lets not forget that the chaos is not made by staff its by clients disrespecting products and staff . Love ikea
We order 17,622 AED
for our place blue angel poly clinic, they come very late after 12pm, and after 6pm the staff say missing something, and they can’t finished today
Also they broke the door and wall
We’re try to calling the customer service many time and nobody help us, they say will call us but no one call until evening really it is not professional at all and it will effect our work … really bad
Why is the furniture soo flimsy. It feels very cheap and disappointing.
I got a chair which despite calling for repair right after installation is wobbly again.
My sofa also broke within 1 year of usage.
I believe the price charged warrants better quality.
Worst customer service ever, I have ordered an extendable table and the guys assembled it wrong, I am trying to reach out for customer service to send them again but no success. I am really shocked how such company don’t have proper system in place. This was my first experience and it was horrible.
They are using cheap 3rd party agents to do the installation + fixing, thats why problems are rising.
