Customer Review Analysis: Auto Repair Shop
Overall Customer Sentiment:
Based on the provided reviews and the overall rating of 3.9 out of 5 from 89 reviews, customer sentiment appears mixed. While some customers express high satisfaction with specific staff members and the speed of service, a significant portion highlights serious concerns regarding technical expertise, transparency, and service quality.
Service Quality and Technical Expertise:
A recurring theme in negative reviews is the perceived lack of technical expertise. Customers report misdiagnosis of issues, unnecessary part replacements, and the need to involve multiple external garages or freelance technicians to resolve problems. This suggests potential inconsistencies in the quality of repairs and the ability to accurately identify and fix complex issues, particularly with flood-damaged vehicles.
Customer Experience and Communication:
Positive feedback often mentions friendly and professional staff, specifically highlighting individuals like Zakir for their positive demeanor and timely work. However, negative reviews strongly criticize communication, citing a lack of transparency, repeated delays ("come tomorrow"), and poor staff behavior. This indicates a potential disconnect in customer service standards across the business.
Common Themes and Concerns:
Key concerns raised by customers include:
* Lack of technical proficiency leading to misdiagnosis and prolonged repair times.
* Issues with transparency regarding repairs and costs.
* Delays and failure to complete work within promised timelines.
* Allegations of using non-original parts and overcharging for labor and parts.
Final Assessment:
While the business receives positive remarks for staff friendliness and occasional efficiency, the consistent negative feedback regarding technical expertise, transparency, and reliability of repairs is a significant concern. The lengthy and unresolved issues reported by some customers, particularly those involving complex repairs, suggest potential systemic weaknesses in the service delivery process. To consistently deliver high-quality and reliable service, the business needs to address the reported deficiencies in technical capabilities, improve communication practices, and ensure consistent service standards. The mixed reviews indicate that while some customers have positive experiences, others face considerable challenges, impacting the overall perception of the business's reliability.
Good quality work, Friendly Staff, On time Delivery. Overall I'm very happy with them 😊

I had taken my flood-affected car to Auto tech on April 17, 2024, as per instruction from the insurer. The car stayed in Auto tech until June 6, 2024 (51 days), without any progress. The summary of my understanding is as below;
1. They lack expertise in identifying the exact areas of damages (that needs repair).
2. Initially they assessed the engine was hydro locked, they got LPO approval from insurance company to rebuild the engine.
3. Since they don’t have technician, they moved my car to another garage in Dubai (G1) to rebuild the engine.
4. After engine rebuilt, they identified that the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) needs replacement.
5. Now, they asked insurance company for approval to increase the LPO limit to replace the ECU. Now awaiting for days to get approval and spare parts
6. After approval, the ECU got replaced but still car doesn’t starts.
7. After ECU replacement, they identified that the old keys need re-programming to match with new ECU.
8. Since they don’t have technician re programing, they want to send the car to another garage in Sharjah (G2)
9. Now, they asked insurance company for approval to increase the LPO limit to reprogram keys. Now awaiting for days to get approval and spare parts
10. After approval, the key got reprogrammed, car started but turn off automatically after some time.
11. Since they don’t have technician identify this issue, they want to bring another freelance technician to look into it (say garage G3). The technician identified that key system needs replacement.
12. Now, they asked insurance company for approval to increase the LPO limit to replace the key system. Now awaiting for days to get approval and spare parts
13. After key system replacement, the issue continues.
14. At this stage, I desperately requested the insurance company to declare the car as total loss despite the pressure from Auto tech as they want to continue the repairs. Finally it was declared total loss by insurance company.
Summary learned from Auto tech:
1. Lack of technical expertise
2. No transparent communications from staff
3. Wastage of time of customer
4. Dealings with insurance company were respectable, but they have to evaluate the competency of garages in their list. Otherwise, it would affect them financially in terms of total loss claims.

Ignorant machanics with lot of cheating skills. Charged me heavily for unnecessary parts replacement yet they did not even touched the faulty part. When i revisited for the same complaint, they discoverd another fault with almost double charges then the previous. The same problem i got fixed in minutes from another garage with nominal charges.
They are not professional, staff behave is very bad. They do not work on time. Just always say. Come tomorrow. I came 4 times but al time they say come tomorrow.
Even they repair 1 part and damage others.
They changes my brake pads with duplicate one, and they charge heavily and claims they use only original parts.
Labpur charges are very high compared to other garages.
Never ever trust them for anything.
I still have the bill and duplicate brake pads with me.
God's grace after 3000 kms I found grooves on d brake drum, took the car to another garage and they said its duplicate.
Very good place and had good experience with the staff and u all should definitely come to this garage and the staff also is friendly and it is very fast 1
What a joke !!!!!! They are unprofessional and don’t how to identify the exact problem, instead they replace good parts and the faulty parts remain in same condition, so when you visit with the same problem they will charge u again for the faulty part
Zakir is the best , so professional and kind
