Overall Customer Sentiment:
Based on the provided reviews and the overall rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 599 reviews, customer sentiment towards Munich Motor Works appears generally positive, although a significant minority of reviews express strong dissatisfaction. Many customers praise the professionalism, knowledge, and care exhibited by specific staff members, particularly Mr. Mohammad and Mr. Amer Asaf. Positive experiences highlight efficient service, fair pricing, and effective repairs, leading to high recommendations and repeat business. However, a notable number of negative reviews raise serious concerns about service quality, transparency, pricing, and the time taken for repairs.
Service Quality:
Positive feedback frequently mentions the quality of workmanship, the use of original parts, and the ability to address complex issues, including those on high-end vehicles like Ferrari and Porsche. Specific services like tire changes, speedometer adjustments, and post-offroad maintenance are highlighted positively. Conversely, negative reviews point to significant issues with service quality, including repairs not being completed despite payment, the identification of unnecessary work, and damage occurring to vehicles while in their care. Concerns about the accuracy of diagnoses and the effectiveness of repairs are evident in these negative accounts.
Common Themes:
Recurring positive themes include the professionalism and helpfulness of staff, particularly service advisors, and the perceived value for money in some instances. The ability to handle specialized vehicles is also a positive point. Negative themes consistently revolve around excessive repair times, inflated pricing, lack of transparency regarding necessary repairs, and perceived incompetence leading to further issues or unnecessary costs. There are also mentions of issues with vehicle handover and warranty information accuracy.
Final Assessment:
Munich Motor Works appears to be a business with the potential to provide high-quality service, as evidenced by numerous positive reviews and a strong overall rating. The positive experiences highlight skilled technicians and dedicated service advisors. However, the recurring negative feedback regarding repair times, pricing, and the integrity of diagnoses and repairs is a significant concern. While many customers report positive outcomes, the experiences of those who encountered issues suggest inconsistencies in service delivery and potentially questionable practices. Prospective customers should consider the overall positive rating but also be aware of the specific risks highlighted in the negative reviews, particularly concerning transparency and the potential for inflated costs or unnecessary work.
Amazing people at this place. About a month ago I took the X5 due to rear air balloon leakages. Mr Amer Asaf was a delightful. He worked with me on a Sunday to get the quotation. Met with Mr Chris on Monday morning when I dropped the vehicle off and had it back by that evening.. Efficiency. The car even got detailed for free... (Well must be added to the costs, But I was happy). Its one month now and no issues. The office looks very good and customer service is great. It's a huge pass for me. Definitely the garage for your cars... Hopefully I don't see them much, but if I have any issues, there are no second thoughts on where I am going.
Happy reading…
Came to replace a xenon bulb on my Touareg (which a garage the day before tried to replace unsuccessfully). After inspection, Mohammed the advisor tells me that the issue is the control module, not the bulb, which surprised me since the day before the other garage showed me it was working with a new bulb (but long story short they could not manage to put it back in the socket). So anyway I receive a quotation of 2,354 AED to replace both the headlight and the module… Since I was already suspicious I take the car to a different garage, which after checking tells me everything is working fine, no need to replace anything, there was just a loose contact! Even the old bulb was still working!!! Talk about the audacity of the staff at Munich Motor 😐 (but hey! I just saved 2k I’m happy…)
Side story I bought the same car from them in 2020. The day of handover, 5 minutes after leaving the dealership I realize by driving on Sheikh Zayed road that the tires were completely worn out to the point the car was shaking above 80km/h. Of course when you test drive around Al Quoz at 50km/h it’s hard to notice! They knew that very well… So had to raise a complaint to get them to install new tires. I get the car back with new tires (yayy!) but they messed up the alignment (lol) so frustrated as I am of dealing with their unprofessionalism, I take the car directly to VW to fix the alignment. It is there that I noticed the warranty of the car was expiring the same month. But guess what? Munich Motor had falsely advertised it with a warranty expiring after 8 months or so or my purchase, so here goes my peace of mind… After again raising a complaint, I managed to get 1 year of extended warranty.
As I was not trying to be a bad person and still thinking they could have just made genuine mistakes (how naive) I did not want to post any review back then, but this time I am more than happy to take the time…
I finally found SERIOUS professionals capable of taking care of my 2010 Ferrari in an honest manner, without exploiting the minor issues (which a 15-year-old car naturally has), and they confirmed an appointment on the same day as my request. A minor service with original parts was performed for 1,500 AED; they checked the brakes FREE OF CHARGE and even managed to reduce the squeaking after the service (a real feat on carbon-ceramic brakes). Super satisfied. Special thanks to Mohammad for supporting understanding rapidly the client needs.
I had a very disappointing experience at that place, and I feel compelled to share it. Firstly, they took an excessive amount of time to provide the report. Then, they identified a specific issue and sent me an estimated cost, which I agreed to. However, after the repairs, I discovered that nothing had actually been done. When I returned the car for a second visit, I noticed numerous scratches on the bonnet. I then took the vehicle to another garage, where they informed me that my issue was simple to fix and did not require the extensive work that was suggested. Ultimately, I ended up paying over 4,000 for repairs that were unnecessary and not related to the original problem.
I had an amazing experience with Mr. Mohammad at Munich Motor Works when repairing my Porsche. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. What truly stood out was how much he genuinely cared — he took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure my concerns were addressed. He’s always available, and goes above and beyond to ensure my car is in the best condition. Highly recommended!
I recently contacted this garage to inquire about pricing for some part replacements. While they provided a cost estimate, they stated that the job would take a minimum of three days. This seemed excessive, as other garages could have completed the same work within a single day. Overall, I found their timeline disappointing and would recommend exploring other options if you're looking for quicker service.
Mercedes Benz declared for this type of job a maximum of 6 hours , so I wounder why they will keep my car for 3 days .
I wish i could give it zero stars!!!!! Save yourself so much money and headache by avoiding them
Overpriced and incompetent. From one little fix they will not only send you a huge quotation but they make sure to ruin your car beyond repair the longer they keep the car at thier carage. They don't really care about being honest, if you don't have enough experience they will misuse that chance to rip your money off, its like going to a dr for one health complain, they send you a report full of other diseases you never knew about! they will play with fear,
they care about just illusion of positive reputation created here on social accounts. What a waste of time!
I’ve been loyal to Munich motor works for the past 5 years. The service was great and affordable. Recently I’ve noticed standards and service declining tremendously. Last month took my car for routine service, waited 2 weeks while they ordered parts from Europe. Finally had car serviced, paid close to 6k.. 3 weeks after collecting, “service due” warning light came up again. This time something related to brake.. Obviously not checked during the previous service checks.. or intentionally left out, knowing I’ll be back again for another service. I am a woman and don’t know much about cars. But clearly know when I’m being ripped off. They’ve just lost a long time loyal customer..
They helped me change the Tyre's on my G, adjusting speedometer for the bigger tyre's. Adding to that they do amazing maintenance after every offroad trip. All this for an amazing price that made me daily drive my G!. 130k km in 3 years and she's perfect as I bought her after much abuse Rock Climbing and LIWA Racing. No more Gargash for my service.
We always trust Munich Motor with all our vehicles and are very satisfied with their service. The price-performance ratio is excellent. My service advisor, Mr. Mohammed, at the workshop does his job with great care. Additionally, the gentleman in charge inside the service is very friendly and always tries to be helpful. Everyone is welcoming, and the ladies at the reception are especially friendly and cheerful. Their workmanship is very clean, and the staff truly know what they’re doing. You will never regret choosing them—I highly recommend it with confidence!
