Customer Sentiment:
Overall customer sentiment is largely positive, reflected in the high average rating of 4.7 out of 5 across 610 reviews. Many customers express high satisfaction with the quality of work, professionalism, and communication. However, a significant minority of reviews highlight negative experiences, primarily related to perceived overcharging, unresolved issues, and attempts to upsell unnecessary services.
Service Quality:
Positive reviews frequently commend the technical expertise, attention to detail, and efficiency of the service process. Customers appreciate clear communication, transparency regarding costs, and timely completion of work. Conversely, negative feedback points to instances where initial problems were not fixed, new issues arose after service, and critical steps like refilling fluids were overlooked.
Common Themes:
Recurring positive themes include skilled and reliable staff, fair pricing (mentioned in some positive reviews), and excellent communication, particularly via WhatsApp updates. The staff member "Cassim" is specifically mentioned positively in both positive and negative reviews for his knowledge and customer handling. Negative themes consistently revolve around high costs, perceived attempts to upsell services, and a lack of resolution for initial problems. Customer service interactions are a point of contention, with some praising professionalism and others criticizing perceived rudeness or dismissiveness.
Final Assessment:
Based on the provided reviews and overall rating, the business appears to deliver high-quality and reliable service for a majority of its customers. Strengths lie in technical proficiency, efficient processes, and effective communication. However, the recurring negative feedback regarding pricing, upselling, and occasional service errors indicates areas for improvement. While many customers have positive experiences and recommend the business, the negative reviews suggest potential inconsistencies in service delivery and customer interaction that could impact overall reliability for some clients.
Deutsche Technik has been looking after my Audi RS3 for a long while now and I’ve been very happy with their services. My most recent visit was for my major service, which was handle by Dawood. Communication with him was really smooth from the first message for an appointment until collection of my car. I got constant updates about everything via WhatsApp and the car was delivered back even before their estimated time which was fantastic. I’ve always had excellent service from them whenever I’ve been in, so I’d definitely recommend them to anyone.
I am extremely disappointed. This shop tries to upsell everything and con customers into paying more and more for things that were never an issue.
I recently sent my car to DT for a clutch replacement. My car is well taken care of but suddenly i’m told by the service advisors that i need a new flywheel. I ended up having these 2 replaced. On the day when i’m going to fetch the car, the call and tell me that they need to replace suspension parts too. I said no as the car was fine before sending it to them. I pick up my car and the noise is unbearable. Something is terribly wrong with the suspension. I then send the car back to them. Long story short they fix it, replace parts (and i pay a hefty bill again) and once again i go to fetch it. When fetching it they have the nerve to tell me i also should buy a new battery. They keep trying to get me to give them more money. Also when i fetch my car the Alcantara steering wheel is completely covered in grease and dirt.
This shop has no respect for customers and will find ways to take more of your money. I own an M2, Porsche 911 and GTI Clubsport. I am a valuable customer and still they gave me this bad experience. Rather go to werkes motorsport or pgr or even the dealer!
Edit in response:
Yes the clutch and flywheel were agreed upon. A 40% discount?
Furthermore the suspension issues were a symptom of the car being left elevated on the lift for extended periods of time. Your people could have been smart enough to know that suspension left elevated for long can cause wear. No apology for this.
It’s everything with you guys. You have the nerve to write back and defend yourselves when i know from my experience that you are wrong. Instead you could just apologize and be decent in communication.
The only positive i can say is that Cassim works for you. He’s a decent guy who has real knowledge of cars and has respect. He has manners and how to deal with people. Not like the rest of your employees. Had he been the one to handle the situation then i’d still be your customer.
Professionalism, knowledge of what to do and how to handle customers are things which are lacking in your business.
Any business which makes errors should understand that they need to improve customer relations. Even a simple sorry and explanation would have been better but you guys have no respect. You even have the audacity to speak of my father and our financials which is none of your business. How we pay and who pays is up to us. Show respect
I initially chose your shop because the two prior jobs were done well and Cassim handled things smoothly but as for the rest of you guys it was unprofessional. If i had to recommend a better shop for those reading, I much prefer going to a different shop located on the autodrome.
If you guys want to improve your business, learn how to speak to customers. Cassim and the lady who works as the receptionist do a great job. You can learn from them. You are lucky to have them.
Anyways i’m not interested in arguing further. Just wanted to leave a review of my experience and give you helpful tips to improve your business.
I am very impressed with the service. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and transparent about the issues and costs involved. They completed the work on time and explained everything clearly. My vehicle is now running smoothly, and I feel confident in the quality of their work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and honest mechanic. A particular thank you to Dawood
I recently had my 2012 991.1 Carrera worked on at DT, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. As Porsche specialists, they provided great guidance and advice throughout the process, helping me find quality non-OEM parts at very reasonable prices. Their workmanship appears to be of a high standard, and I was very impressed by how clean and organized the workshop was. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, even accommodating me after hours for pickup. I was also given a walk-through of their shop floor, which was filled with an incredible range of classic and modern Porsches, along with some Audis — a real treat to see! Overall, a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be using them again for future work.
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the outstanding service and professionalism at Deutsche Technik. From the moment I dropped off my car, the team demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, clear communication, and genuine care for delivering the highest quality of work. Every step of the service process was handled efficiently and transparently, and I always felt well-informed and valued as a client. Their technical expertise is evident, but what truly sets them apart is their commitment to client experience. The staff are courteous, responsive, and proactive—ensuring not only that the job is done right, but that it’s done with integrity. I would highly recommend Deutsche Technik to anyone looking for a trusted partner in car maintenance and repair in Dubai.
I’ve had my cars repaired here several times, and I’ve consistently received high-quality service. The team is skilled, reliable, and always upfront about what’s needed. What really stood out to me was how they looked out for my best interests—not just in terms of the work done, but also with fair and affordable pricing. It’s rare to find a garage that combines honesty, quality, and value so well. Highly recommended! Thanks Dawood and Cassim.
If you are rich and like to pay a lot in labor, so its the best place for you, they are so expensive, i use to own Golf R since 6 or 7 years and i know most of the german garages in dubai “ the famous ones” comparing to all of them they are the most expensive one
The shop is neat and so, staff is very friendly, but one of the team with long hair quickly came to my car and asked why they are working on it (like I should wait for a turn or something) and when I tried to explain he made me feel like get out if you don’t like it, felt like he is very angry that the other guys were checking my car and made me feel uncomfortable, seems unfriendly
Anyway they’re over priced so u should be rich to go there
*Update for Owner Response:
I didn’t even know you were the owner, and being an Owner should be more professional than other employees.
I tried talking to you and explaining myself as I knew you were some kind of manager and to avoid getting “your” team in trouble, as they were very cooperative with me, but you just kept walking and gave me a weird smile.
Have fun with “your” staff and “your” entrance/ exit and that attitude of the great “ME”
Took my porsche in for service. Came back with more problems after service. They forgot to refill engine coolant. Could have damaged the engine. Not recommended for porsche anyway.
WORST SERVICE EVER.
They overcharged me and they didn't fix the issue I sent the car for. I paid 13,000AED and the car came back not only with same problem but a new problem came up after they worked on the car to the point I had to send it on recovery. they won't refund the money even though they admitted they couldn't determine where the issue is coming from or how to fix it.
